What is the manufacturer/model of your guitar?
Ibanez EW Series
Is the guitar electric or acoustic (or both)?
Acoustic
How much did you pay for the guitar? New or used?
new $550
Is the guitar easy and comfortable to play?
These guitars are big with a big sound. They look as good as they play. My daughter, son and myself each have the Ibanez EW series. All in all we have 5 of them. the classical is slighter smaller and very comfy, the others are large but are easy to play. Smooth neck for speed.
Guitar tone.
The tone is large and full. The classical really carries.
the 6 strings - all that we have (3) play very bright and clear. No rattle . The on board tuner is a huge asset while the kids are learning. they spend more time playing than fiddling around. I found even with some vigorous playing they stay in tune. the sound plays like a much more expensive guitar. Very bright with some good bottom bass.
Guitar build quality.
well built, attractive exotic woods hence the EW name.
Solid and the finish is really smooth and refined.
The frets could use some extra markings to keep beginners on track. They always turn heads when ever I pull them out to play.
Advice
- Look around and test a few, not all guitars even same company and series always feel the same. Find one that fits you as wierd as that sounds. these guitars are built to play and last. Ibanez makes an Instrument not a toy.
- the frets are big enough and yet comfortable.
- IMHO... these guitars have big bang for the buck. I'll be handing these guitars down to my grand kids someday.
- The electronics work really well too, and they can be plugged into an amp or pa. Ibanez EW series are an all around great buy. See the Ibanez web site -ew series of electric acoustics.
