Is the guitar easy and comfortable to play?
The Les Paul is easy to play, and very comfortable. The Les Paul is a joy to play.
Guitar tone.
Well this is a Les Paul so the tone is awesome. The Les Paul goes from a nice smooth sound to a roaring monster depending on your mood and amp setup.
Guitar build quality.
The Les Paul has nice quality components. The faded model has a beautiful rustic appearance. I did have one problem with the guitar. The sound was fading out with crackling noise on the treble pickup occasionally. It wasn't consistent so it took me a while to figure out what was happening. I discovered the real issue when I touched the treble pickup and the guitar went silent. I took the guitar to a Gibson dealer. The guitar uses Gibson's quick connect pickups. There was no visible damage to the pickup so the issue was a broken wire inside the pickup. The dealer contacted Gibson and they provided a new treble pickup. The guitar was repaired at no cost to me. The guitar plays with all the sound and fury you would expect from a Gibson Les Paul now.
Advice
- I love this guitar. It is fun to play, and has a huge sound spectrum. The Les Paul quickly became my favorite guitar. I would highly recommend this guitar to anyone looking for a high quality solid body electric guitar.
