Performance Tips For This Blues Scale Position
This scale position utilizes open strings, and provides many opportunities for using hammer-on and pull-off techniques to create interesting licks. The easiest way to finger the scale is to:
- use your third finger to play the third fret of the 4th string
- use your first two fingers to play the first two frets of the 3rd string (for those interested in playing blues licks: lots of hammer-on opportunities here with the open string)
- use your first and third fingers to play the first and third frets of the 2nd string
