Was manufactured and finished by 10-10-03. This is an s style mahogany body with a quilted maple top. It has an abalone body binding, two factory humbuckers and a transparent ruby red finish. The quitar has a floating bridge but is not a floyd tremolo, but it does lock the strings at the bridge.Ibanez SA220EX Tone Rating:

I was thinking about chaanging the pickups to a semour dunkin custom humbucker and a 59 humbucker at the neck but I figured I would play it for awhile first. The factory pickups have a great sound for heavy playing/picking and I haven't found anything wrong with the sound b/c of the degree of variance that it has. I play on a Fender Hotrod-Deville 212 box and I can get some really good sound out of the combo.Ibanez SA220EX Quality Rating:

I wish they would have had locking tuners on this thing, after practicing for the first 1/2 hour, I have to retune. After that it pretty much stays in tune the rest of the set, or at least untill we're done playing.Ibanez SA220EX Overall Rating:
8/10Ibanez SA220EX Pros:
I rated this quitar highly b/c it really is a great buy for the money, and if your looking for a road guitar or something to take to practice, this guitar is for you. I can even confidently say that you can play out with this guitar. If you come by one for what I did consider your options...Ibanez SA220EX Cons:
NO PICK GUARD! some day you'll have to say good bye to that shiny finish anyway... Oh, and if your as picky as I am you MIGHT want to get some other pickups to get that Hendrix style feedback, even though you can already make some noise with this guitar. You have to remember that for this quality guitar your payin almost nothin! Pfff, Richenbacker.....Submitted by: Ryan
