Price Paid for Ibanez RG550:
$600 USDDescription of Ibanez RG550:
bought mine in the Late 1980s fire red finish looks like a chemical glow stick. i luv it's uniqueness. saw one other of these in the same color once in my life, and that was on ebay. they must have let it lay in the sun, because it was faded, and it was still going for more than $500 with a couple days left on the auction.Ibanez RG550 Tone Rating:

If you like the sound of satriani or vai, u will like this guitar. it has a thin neck and fat frets and u can really fly on this thing if your fingers can keep up. I've been playing this thing for about 16 years, and it still kicks it 4 me. I use a big crate amp and a digitech rp300 guitar processor, which allows me to get virtually any sound i want from the thing. get a digitech rp300, and u'll be happy with almost any amp with some balls, in my opinion.Ibanez RG550 Quality Rating:

good durability, because i've banged and dropped this thing enough to test it in the past 16 years. it's finish is tough, and it's still only got a few little scratches on it. i luv the thin neck and low action. great for lead work.Ibanez RG550 Overall Rating:

lead men will luv this axeIbanez RG550 Cons:
sorry, not even this guitar can make wannabees sound good. it takes a little dedication and hard work to get good. don't waist your money on a good instrument like this when it will end up collecting dust in your momma's attic.Submitted by: James Bond
