Description of Godin SD:

2005 model. Assembled in U.S. with Canadian parts. Godin stock single/single/humbucker. 5-way switch. All-metal tone/volume knobs. Maple neck, rosewood fretboard. Single cutaway body. Tremolo bridge.

Godin SD Tone Rating:

9/10

Comments about Godin SD Tone:

Versatile tone because of the HSS configuration. The sustain is excellent, tone is bright and full. I am using the Godin SD through a 30-Watt Marshall MG30DFX amp. This amp/guitar combo sounds fantastic together.

Godin SD Quality Rating:

10/10

Comments about Godin SD Quality:

I purchased the guitar used (Although the instrument was made less than 6 months ago). The finish is amazing looking. The action was set quite low when it was purchased and I have not noticed any fret-buzzing or other problems so far. The hardware seems to be high quality, with all metal hardware.

Godin SD Overall Rating:

10/10

Godin SD Pros:

Since this item was purchased for $300CDN and lists for closer to $400CDN, I am very satisfied with my purchase. This is a very high quality guitar for a great price. I love the sound, the look and the feel of the guitar. You cannot beat the quality of Godin guitars for their price. I am thrilled with this purchase!

Godin SD Cons:

This guitar is fantastic and I have no complaints. One thing that buyers should be aware of is that the fretboard on the Godin SD is slightly short at 23-3/4 inches. However, I find this to be an advantage as it makes string bending easier. If you prefer a longer fretboard, check out the Godin SDxt and the Godin Freeway (Classic, Floyd or SA).
