Comments about Carvin DC 127 Tone:

bright, dark, full, thin, clean, growl, i can find it in this guitar. the pickups are very strong. humbuckers are almost too harmonic for my taste. i wouldn't get these without the coil splitters. my current amp is a 50 watt silvertone, 1970ish (dug out of garbage-all original tubes & capacitors) Running into 2 carvin gt12 guitar speakers.

Carvin DC 127 Quality Rating:

10/10

Comments about Carvin DC 127 Quality:

no flaws in finish or wood. initial setup was very hard to improve upon. a very well made, good looking guitar. almost a beautiful work of art. but the looks are a bonus. durability-i've had it week???

Carvin DC 127 Overall Rating:

9/10

Carvin DC 127 Pros:

i tried lots of guitars when i started shopping but nothing played faster or eazier than my $99 old friend of 30 years. Hard to buy a guitar before you play it, but you get 10 days to try it, mess with it, work the heck out of it, and if you don't like it..call carvin, ship it back..they refund your money. they just wanted to know if it was defective or if you just decided against it. if you don't like the color YOU chose..send it back

Carvin DC 127 Cons:

customer service is hit or miss, so is technical support. sometimes you get someone knowledgeble, sometimes not. getting my changes (options) on the electrical was a nightmare. what you request and what they write may not be the same. it takes about 8 long weeks to build your guitar.
