Chords to Hanukkah Songs

The following is a modest list of songs typically heard during the the Jewish Festival of Lights. Enjoy playing and singing these songs around the menorah or just gathered together.

Mi Y'maleil

A very well known Hebrew Chanukah song. The opening line is a rewording of Psalms 106:2, which reads "Who can retell the mighty feats of God."

I Have a Little Dreidel

Also known as "Dreidel, Dreidel, Dreidel", this is a children's Hannukah song written in English. There is also a Yiddish version of "I Have a Little Dreidel" called "Ikh Bin A Kleyner Dreydl".

Maoz Tzur

This is a Jewish liturgical poem, written in Hebrew, typically sung after lighting the festival lights on Hanukkah. This Hebrew song is thought to have been written sometime in the 13th century. Includes lyrics for an English translation called "Rock of Ages".
