Description:
The guitar was buildt in 1996, with indian Rosewood side & back, and a sitka soundboard. It`s got a mahogany neck and a special mustache bridge, with a built in Fishman pick up.

I picked up at least two dusins of guitars in the store, including other Taylors and Martin guitars, but non of them had such a mellow sound, with a beautiful dark sound.

Pros:
Being a jumbo guitar, the 815 c` substatial size is the only problem.
I have never played a guitar with such a distinction in the lower tones, and I can not understand why they have taken it out of production, but i guess the new 815 ce has got the same qualities. I was very surprised when i heard it with an amplifier, although it hardly needs one
