Acoustic with pickup. Made in USA. rosewood back, sides, bridge and fingerboard. Sitka spruce top. Mahogany neck. 4 color wood purfling, ivoroid binding, abalone soundhole ring. Fishman System I pickup/preamp. Beautiful instrument.

Full tone, a bit more to the dark side but with clear and distict highs. The electronics are a problem, the mid strings are not as loud as the outside strings.

The craftsmanship in the instrument is beautiful. Setup was greatly lacking requiring the frets to be floated in order to bring the action to playability. Slight bow on high side of the neck around the 9 fret. Bridge transducer has imbalanced output.

Pros:
Very nice woods, craftsmanship and design. The sound is wonderful.
Cons:
There is no way to contact Tacoma for customer service. Tacoma only deals with their authorized dealers, if you have a problem resolution is only as good as the dealer. Even under warranty I had to pay for the setup work. The underbridge pickup has never sounder proper, warranty replaced the pickup once but not the preamp. Still have to mic the instrument. The problems with this instrument should have been handled without question under the ""warranty"" touted by the manufacturer. Due to the lack of satisfaction in service, as nice as the guitar is, I would not buy another Tacoma or recommend this brand.
