Price Paid:
$200 pounds (used)
Description:
Early 70s model. Standard Strat copy, with mahogany body.
Tone:
Comments:
The tone is at least equal to a Fender of the same era.
Quality:
Comments:
Mahogany body makes this guitar very heavy to use over long
periods, but gives it really good tone and sustain. The black cherry finish on
the body has crazed and now looks like a jigsaw puzzle.
Overall:
Pros:
The action is fantastic - much lower and smoother than on my Yamaha SG
500B.
Cons:
Standard Strat type electrics, with 3 way switch, seem a bit limiting
today.
