much darker than my tele, but with a few tone adjustments on my amp, it sounds awesome. The sustain is incredible, it just sings! I use a fender hot rod deluxe and an old yamaha G212 hooked together for my amps. I have plenty of power. The pickups on the samick are louder than fender tele or strats, I have one of each, both american standards, great gutars, but so is the samick!

The finish is beautiful. Mine is wine red. The neck and body are bound in white. The neck is the fastest I have played in sometime, maybe ever. Initial setup sucked, It had heavy strings and set high, it was easy to correct with new strings and the tune-o-matic type bridge

Pros:
This guitar plays better than most gibsons I have played. It has a much faster neck than my tele or strat. It has remarkable sustain and the tone controls make a big difference in the sound. A really fine, beautiful guitar.
Cons:
The fingerboard inlays look a little cheap. Like maybe they cut some corners here. Nice dots may have been the way to go.
