Very clear sounding but new pickpups would further enhance the clarity. I use DiMarzios (Steve's Special in bridge, Air Norton in Neck) for imporved balance and clarity.

Everything has held up under VERY stressful stage conditions and it always performs. If I had to, I would play this guitar with out a back up.
