Description:
This is I think a 1990's model. 3 pick ups single coil at the neck and centre, humbucker at bridge. There's a 5 way selector two tone pots one volume and a gain switch. It is of Stratocaster shape and features a Floyd Rose style tremelo with adjuster screws. After tuning alen bolts lock the strings behind the neck 0 fret.
There are 21 frets.
This thing is eminently playable, if heavy.
Tone:
Comments:
It has an excellent range of tones from bassy to tinny and any permutation between.
Quality:
Comments:
Finish is excellent - the body's a deep lustrous metalic red. All the chroming is of high quality and everything works. Fretboard is rosewood. Its very well put together.
There are no rough frets or signs of a skimped finish. Upper frets could have a lower profile - which is the only criticism and a guitar tuner would solve that.
Don't know what wood the body's made of - it feels like ebony.... is there a lead wood - its very heavy?
Overall:
Pros:
Quality, reliability, finish
Cons:
It's very heavy.
