Description:
1995 model in '59 Burst, with a nice flame maple top.Solid Honduras Mahogony body with a set 3-piece Mahogony neck, shaped somewhat like a Gibson Les Paul JR.The pickups are Seymour Duncan;a JB at the bridge,a zebra'59 at the neck.I replaced the black JB with a zebra'59 for a more ""vintage"" tone and a more balance look. The tuners are Schaller and the bridge a Wilkinson wrap-around.All hardware is nickel.Guitar came with a nice hardshell case.

This Hamer ""has it"".The guitar really comes alive at stage volume...I can literally feel the body resonate against me!The neck pickup is sweet and detailed, allowing me to get everything from mellow jazz tones to a fat ""woman tone"".The bridge pickup screams and cries when pushed, and gives nice articulation and bite when played clean. The tone control is the best I've heard, sounding like a notched wah when backed-off.The in-between pickup tone is real nice for clean chording and sweet solos that almost ventures into Fender territory.I really like to play the Hamer studio through either my MesaBoogie MKIIC+ or Fender Prosonic combo, clean or overdriven.

Comments:
I can't find a flaw on this beautiful and toneful masterpiece. The neck played from day one like it was made just for me.The finish is beautiful, with the sunburst finish highlighting the maple top's sweet looking flame. The Schallers hold the guitar in tune without worry.

Pros:
I don't understand why USA Hamers are not held with the same regard as Gibson,Fender and PRS by most guitarist.I have two other USA Hamers [a 25th Anniverary Artist and a P-90 Special] which are just as awesome. That Hamer's are undervalued on the used guitar market allows guitar players to pick up a high quality USA made guitar at a more than reasonable price.Other guitars and amps that I have are a customized '95 Fender American Standard Strat,a Swamp Ash Carvin Bolt-T w/Duncans,a USA Washburn WMS Maverick Studio,a USA Washburn WM200,a USA Fender Fat Tele w/Duncans,a Martin DM w/Fishman p/up and a Warwick Streamer Standard bass.My other amps include a Crate VC30,a Tech21 Trademark 10,a ValveTech 1-12"" combo and a little early 60's all tube Class A Supro 1-8"" combo.
Cons:
It can't sound like a Tele? There is really nothing negative to say about my Hamer Studio.
