| Hagstrom Swede |
Price Paid:
$350 USD
Description:
Purchased new in 1975, this instrument has never disappointed me. More comfortable than most LPs, it has a very fast fingerboard & neck and the original humbuckers which are great. There is actually a Hagstrom museum in Sweden that features countless variations in woods and features. I have been offered $800 for mine, which is near-mint.
Tone:
Comments:
Dark tone with enough bite: two humbuckers in standard configuration
Quality:
Comments:
Excellent in every respect.
Overall:
Pros:
Exceptional value, especially after 26 years.
Cons:
Finding parts, like pickup rings, bridge saddles. Along with guitar tech Jack Romano, I came up with an intonation modification for this bridge set-up.
