Gibson Nighthawk
[Submit a Review]

Price Paid: $549 USD (used)
Description: Made in U.S.A. One mini neck humbucker, regular slanted bridge humbucker. Maple neck, single cutaway, stock non-locking tuners.
Tone:
Comments: Very good tone, not a ten but very good. 5 way pickup switch povides many different tone shapes. Gives a full sound, that can be both bright and dark.
Quality:
Comments: Very good, Gibson quality. There have been no problems with the craftmanship. The only problem i have is with the G string (no sexual pun intended), that goes out of tune quicker than the other strings, but that's it.
Overall:
Pros: For the money that i spent on it, it's a great deal. If you search around, you can get a great deal on a used one. Right now, it's the only electric guitar i have, but compared to others i have played i love it. I highly recommend it.
Cons: The only con there is, is the tuning problem i mentioned with the 3 string, but that is it

Price Paid: $1000 USD
Description: Three pickups HSH. Mahogany body with sunburst flame maple top.
Tone:
Comments: Very versatile! Every thing from twangy telecaster to Les Paul..
Quality:
Comments: Gibson is quality (mostly) the drawback is the headstock contruction, which often breaks.. (Yeah, I've done it..) The factory setup wasn't great, but ok.
Overall:
Pros: I have also a Strat Plus Deluxe (USA), but 70% of the time i pick up the Nighthawk... Light weight A little bit smaller neck then the Les Paul.
Cons: Gibsons costs...
