Price Paid:
$800.00 USD
Description:
Arch-top guitar. Built in 1971. Cut-away.
Tone:
Comments:
Tone is full, great for playing clean. I've used a Fender perfomer over the years. Recently purchase a Fender De Ville twin. Sound great with a tube amp!
Quality:
Comments:
Gibson should stand alone on quality.
The one draw back is that, being an old guitar, repairs are expensive. I needed the frame work in the body re-glued, cost was $350.00
Overall:
Pros:
Great sound, easy to play. I recommend flat wound strings for playing straight-ahead jazz. Show up with this axe and you will rule!
Cons:
Expensive repairs, fragile, need tender-loving care. Not for a gig with the Who.
