Comments about DiPinto Galaxie:
Although I raised the bridge position PU as high as possible without ruining the action, the output leaves a little to be desired. However, the neck position PU delivers plenty of power. I play through a Carvin SX 200 (don't laugh, I get a lot of compliments when I play out), dirty, this guitar has a nice chunky sound with good mid-range sound. Clean, it sounds nice and warm with plenty of brightness in either position.

Comments about DiPinto Galaxie:
This thing always stays in tune. I had it set up once last year and it's playing like a champ.
Overall Opinions of DiPinto Galaxie:
Pros:
After years of buying equipment on a limited budget, I noticed that I always found myself unhappy with the Mexian/Asian imports produced by the big, name-brand guitar makers. Eventually, I got tired of that and decided to try a local luthier in Philly, Chris DiPinto. The Galaxie is what I bought, and like all DiPinto guitars, this is a really inexpensive, quality, stylishly retro-modern hip looking guitar that stays in tune and has good tone. I love it! All of his guitars are available in custom editions produced in the Philadelphia area. Enjoy!
PS. He's made guitars for, I believe, Thurston Moore, Rick Neilson, Tom ? (Also from Cheap Trick), the guitarist on the Conan O'Brien's Late Show and that band that only plays instrumentals and they all wear Mexican wrestling masksLos Straitjackets, I think.
