Great list. Personally I would go for the Martin. They are simply great guitars. I like Takamine too, I’ve got a EG523SC acoustic-electric myself.

I agree almost with the whole list, but for the ones I don’t quite agree with, I guess somebody just starting to play guitar wouldn’t mind having and playing so, in the end, for the target of the article, a good list! I also run a blog on electric guitars, http://www.GuitarFlame.com and this list comes handy to me. Thanks again!

I have a couple of acoustics, and I like’em whether or not they’re the best. Both are inexpensive: a Takamine Jasmine NEXS34C Cutaway and a little Fender 3/4 size travel guitar. Also got a couple of electrics: Mexican Stratocaster and an Epiphone Les Paul 100. They seem like the best in the world to me!

I purchased a Sigmund DR41 by Martin accoustic. It is a copy of the famous D28 Martin and I believe it plays and sounds just as well.
