Levon Helm at the Ramble

Since my first trip to see Levon Helm at the Ramble last year, I've been looking for an excuse to return to Woodstock. This weekend, I found that excuse... Paul Barrere and Fred Tackett from Little Feat opened for Levon and his band. The two sounded great, as did special guest pianist Dr. Billy Taylor. Levon's band, led by guitarist Larry Campbell, was in fantastic form, as usual.

If you're a fan of The Band, and live in the Northeastern United States, you owe it to yourself to go see Levon Helm at the Ramble in Woodstock NY. You'll never get a better chance to see a collection of fantastic musicians having a great time in front of such a small audience.
