thanks for the post
I know this great site for Live Video Private Lessons. The Instructor is Live on the webpage, and you can get private lessons from anywhere in the world.
I am a beginner and I have been playing for 1 year. He has taught me a great deal
Here is his website: Satriani.org
Hey there,
I got my guitar a year ago and have tried a few times to learn, only to give up frustrated because I just couldn’t get it. I’ve only been using your lessons for a week and I can already play a song and I’m on my way to more. Thanks for the help!!!!
Your beginner guitar lessons are wonderful! I hope you keep adding more. I am a music teacher at a private school and last semester I started a group guitar class for some of my elementary school students. It was good for them because they got to play alone and with others so it was kind of the best of both worlds and new kids are coming into the class this semester so I’ve had to start another beginner class. But the really cool thing is that some of the parents came in to observe the class and every single parent came to the recital/lunch (and brought food) at the end. One of the parents, while supervising his daughter’s practice, got interested in what she was doing. He started looking online and found your lessons. He started working with them immediately, printed them all out and is really going to town on them. I’m using the Alfred’s Kids Guitar for the class but I guess the parent didn’t want to mess with the little cartoon characters and wanted to move faster. He loves your lessons and we’re both recommending them to others. Just thought you’d like to know.
thanks u very much, your site is extremely helpful for beginers like me.though i did try to learn to play guitar a few years back,i left it cos i ws frustrated with my slow progress. i am sure by using ur instructions which r easy to follow,i wod be able to realise my dream of being a guitarist. keep up the good work!
Dan- Your lessons are amazing! I have only been playing for 3 weeks, and feel very confident with the information you have presented. My only regret is that I’m nearing the end of the lessons, so I’m slowing down!
Keep up the great work, and know that more lessons are always appreciated!
I have learned more from your step by step breakdown then i ever have from any of the dud teachers i ever previously had.
Keep up the good work champ!
I recently decided to pick up the guitar. I have found several sites offering beginner lessons but yours are the most structured and beneficial out there. I am only on lesson #2 but the difference is amazing. Thanks!
I just got my guitar for christmas and started taking your lessons.I am only on lesson two but practise everyday I know the six chords but am having trouble picturing where to place my fingers when i change the chords. Is there some kind of tip or trick that can help me to do this? I don’t want to move on to the next lesson until i can do this. Please help???????
Love the guitar lessons! I have been playing guitar for about 19 years off and on, but after having kids I stopped practicing and forgot a lot that I knew. My husband bought me a new Gibson for Christmas which urged me back into playing. I found your beginner lessons and have already made progress. Thank you so much!
When it comes to learning the new songs, I get a bit frustrated though with some of the tablature. Not all the lyrics are there and a couple of them don’t seem accurate.
It would be great if you did your own tablature. Your lessons are SO easy to follow and understand, I bet your tablature would be too!
Thanks for the lessons!
Cheers to you,
Trish
Wow! This was really helpful. I’ve been wanting to play the guitar for such a long time, and before I even got it, I found these great lessons and other materials from Dan Cross. They were very useful. I just got my very first guitar yesterday, and I love it. I played for so many hours. I think my family got annoyed that I loved it so much. I took a look at these lessons that have been on my favorites list for a very long time, and began. It was very, very helpful. I plan to teach myself most of the way. I wouldn’t say I’m teaching myself, though, because all I’m doing is following the directions!! They are easy to follow, and having an example is great. This very helpful, and useful stuff that will definitely play out in my future career as a guitarist.
