Learning the Chords in a Key

Wednesday January 10, 2007
Bill asks:
Can you tell me please what are the chords in the key of C, key of G, key of F, and key of D?
Well, I could just tell Bill what the chords are in each of those keys, but with just a little knowledge, anyone can figure out the chords in a key for themselves. Read this lesson on learning chords in a key for more info.

(1) Drew Thomas says:

I learned a lot from the article. I always used a numbering system from 1 to 8 for each key. I would say, 1-5- as the main chords, and 6 as the minor chord. I neglected the other chords and always wondered how they got involved.

Thanks again!
